Are you always prepared for unannounced guests? You should be, even though your friends might not have the habit to surprise you often. Not only because it’s nice to know that you are prepared for them – but also because you might need “supplies” when you are in hurry and you don’t have time to go shopping. All the ingredients for this recipe can be stocked up in the house as a reserve, because either they have long expiration date, or they can be frozen. If you buy pasta, and there is usually already garlic and onion in the house – the only remaining things are tomato purée and a vacuum-packed ham, which also can be stocked in the fridge for a longer period of time.
As for the Moja Kravica Kuhinjica cooking cream – it literally makes wonders! Even in moments when you only have the most modest ingredients for a pasta sauce, this cooking cream becomes the key ingredient which turns modest into fantastic in no time.
Of course, if unopened, the Moja Kravica Kuhinjica cooking cream can stay in your fridge for months. Hide one pack somewhere in the back of the fridge – and you’re all set!

Ingredients

  • 400 g pasta – type by choice

  • ½ of an onion

  • 2 cloves of garlic

  • 100 g of smoked ham

  • 1 spoon of tomato paste

  • 1/3 stock cube

  • 250 ml of the Moja Kravica Kuhinjica cooking cream

  • Sliced pepperoni to taste

  • basil

  • Moja Kravica butter

  • salt, pepper

  • Optional: cherry tomatoes and Pecorino, for decoration

Preparation

  1. Put a pot with water for pasta on the stove and while it’s heating up, start preparing the sauce.

  2. Turn another burner of the stove on and use another pan to heat up the butter. Chop up the onion and slice the ham into thin slices. Cook the onions in the butter-coated pan and then add ham and pepperoni. Cook everything for a few minutes, add 1 dl of water, the stock cube and tomato paste. Cook for 5 minutes. Add the Moja Kravica Kuhinjica cooking cream, salt and pepper – and leave the sauce to cook

  3. When the water for pasta comes to a boil, put the pasta in, and after it is cooked, drain it and add it to the sauce. Cook for a little bit longer and serve. If you wish, you can decorate the dish with cherry tomato and grated Pecorino cheese.
